Power flushing is a very effective cleansing process designed to improve the efficiency of central heating systems. The power flushing method works by pumping water at high speed throughout the central heating system.

This cleansing operation will loosen any harmful deposits that may have formed by internal corrosion and put them into 'suspension in the fast flowing water. The whole power flushing process is made more effective by using specially formulated chemicals. There is also an instantaneous device that will reverse the flow of the water and result in a lot of turbulence in the radiators. This will result in a very effective cleansing process and ensure most of the accumulated sludge is removed.
Once the loose debris has been completely flushed from the heating system, the reinstatement of the central heating system to a normal working operation should only be around 20-30 minutes afterwards. This makes power flushing by far the most efficient and way of cleansing a central heating system, new or old.

Power flushing can also be a great way to pre-commission and clean new central heating systems. This process can help to remove excess flux, swarf and other materials plus grease and oil that are often used to prevent rusting of internal components prior to use.
