Boiler Servicing Explained...
Your engineer will carry out a variety of checks and tests during your service.
Location: Your boiler must be located in a place which complied with current gas safety regulations. These regulations change fairly regularly so it is important to have this checked every year. If the boiler or flue is incorrectly placed, it will have to be moved.
External Controls: All external panels and controls will be checked to make sure all is in good working order.
The Service: Your engineer wil now check the following:
When your engineer has determined that all components are safe, working correctly and comply with regulations, he will then clear out any dust and debris from inside the boiler and reseal it.
Flue Gas Analysis: The final check is to test the flue gas emissions to make sure that the carbon monoxide levels fall within regulation guidelines.
If your engineer is happy with all the checks he can then certify that the boiler is safe. If you have any problems with the system, he will discuss this fully with you and offer repair and replacements as needed.
